Early Purchase, Crowdsale, ICO
Timeline for “Token Sale” would be like this.
Early purchaser phase
Early purchase phase is the selling tokens to token purchasers privately. Early purchasers will be like personal investors, or some funds which investing crypto currencies.
Early purchasers are important for pre-development and marketing of the project, and if there are no early supports for a project, maybe the project doesn’t have good value for the world or need more presentations to convey the value to the world.
Crowdsale phase
Crowdsale phase is selling core teams tokens to the crowd. Sometime this crowdsale is called “ICO”, but in Starbase we separate the word of “Crowdsale” and “ICO”.
Because we believe fundraising time and project launch time are mostly different, and tokens are better to be un-transferrable before the project launch.
So we use “crowdsale” for public token sale, and ICO for project launch & the time when token become transferrable.
ICO phase
Before ICO, a project posts a project’s updates continuously through Starbase and the project’s social medias, such as facebook, twitter, blog, reddit, etc.
If the updates are promising, more people are going to be interested in the project’s ICO.
Finally, when the project launch and release the service or product, they can make the token transferrable, and then the token will have market value on global crypto currency markets.
